The Queen’s Award For Enterprise: International Trade 2022
We are absolutely delighted to announce we have been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade 2022. The prestigious award is given for outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the categories of innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity through social mobility.
Luke Benton, Managing Director said, “This is a great honour and we hope that we will do it justice. It has been awarded to us for our growth in exports over the past five years, growing from 5% six years ago to just last year exporting 75% of our components.”
“We are immensely proud of the team we have here at MNB. They have worked under serious pressure over the last seven years, since we moved into our current premises, plus the oil and gas industry suffered its biggest crash ever during 2015/16 and part of 2017. My brother and I leaned on the team to assist us in assuring the company’s survival through those difficult days and they rose to the challenge. It’s an incredible set of human beings that work for us and we are immensely proud that we can help honour them with this award.”
Elliot Benton, Commercial Director, added “There has been a lot of hard work, a lot of heartache at times. But our entrepreneur mentality of investing at the right times, taking that risk when we had to and a good team that has come with us has helped us get where we are today. Some of the guys have been working with us for over 20 years, without them it wouldn’t have happened.”
Mark Benton, Director, said, “It’s our willingness to go for the most complex projects that has ensured we are now seen as a key player in our sector, servicing some of the biggest oil and gas OEMs in the world. The whole business, down to the labourers, are an integral part of this success. If we didn’t all pull together you would never pull this juggernaut along.”
We’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone that has helped us achieve this important award. We will proudly display the Queen’s Award for Enterprise logo for the next five years.
