Time Zone Wall Clocks & World Map In the MNB Reception Area
Here at MNB Precision we take great pride in supporting clients all around the world. Building good relationships and working closely with our client base means we are able to offer a fantastic service and this is crucial for our business. Therefore, knowing the regional time zones is critical. Supporting clients as far away as Norway and the USA means supplying goods mainly by sea freight, with the odd occasion where we have had to fly parts in to respond to tight deadlines.
Norway and the USA are supported by the internal MNB team from Sales, Production, Quality and Admin and via our Sales Managers on external client visits. Currently we are in Norway every 6-8 weeks and Houston every 3 months building these relationships and working closely with these clients to offer more than just machining.
From the client visits, and product awareness, we now offer these clients a bigger scope of product management. This ranges from full turnkey machining to full assembly and testing as well as kitting, thus supplying a completed product or in kit form so all the components can be assembled in house at our client’s facility.
Working globally means being aware of regional time zones; how we interact and communicate with our client base is absolutely crucial to our business. Therefore, our reception area has recently had some changes, with time zone wall clocks and a world map showing the locations around the world that MNB has supported. In addition, we have also introduced an internal sign to our boardroom that will be the backdrop for video conference calls. We are big fans of these additions and think you will be too!
The USA has different time zones, with Houston 6 hours behind the UK, so it is normally from 2-3pm that we have communication. The days are long gone where you were active from 8am to 5pm! The MNB team regularly has contact with our clients and suppliers from early mornings to late evenings. Norway is 1 hour in front of the UK and normally starts early in the morning around 06.30 or UK time 05.30.
