    Month: July 2022

On Wednesday 13th July, our Director Luke Benton visited Buckingham Palace to meet Prince Charles

“Being able to visit Buckingham Palace and to be there representing MNB after winning The Queens Award was an honour.”

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise recognise outstanding achievement and offer unparalleled prestige and credibility. We were one of 226 organisations to be named and now we are able to wear the Queen’s Award logo for the next five years.

Our willingness to go for the most complex projects has enabled us to become known as a key player in our field servicing some of the biggest oil and gas OEMs in the world. In fact, our growth in exports has risen from just 5% five years ago to 75% today.

We are beyond proud of the entire workforce at MNB, without which none of this would have been possible. Take a look at our award video to find out more about what it means to us.

Our New Pressure Testing Facility Is Starting To Take Shape

The first phase of our new Pressure Testing facility is starting to take shape. The new blast proof enclosure complete with hydraulics, control panels and fluid tanks are now on site and will be installed in the coming weeks.

Assembly test benches are in manufacture which will allow MNB to assemble various Downhole Tool components outside of the enclosure then slide into place to a secure locking mechanism before applying up to 15,000 psi to test the assemblies for leaks.

This additional capability will allow MNB Precision to machine, assemble and test complete equipment and offer our clients a full turnkey package on a range of product lines.

You can take a look at our new Pressure Testing facility in its spot on the shop floor…

A Brief History Of MNB Precision

Established in a Midlands garage, MNB Precision begin life way back in 1980. Starting out as a small family enterprise, we initially focused on general engineering work with nothing but a couple of machines in a council house garage. Early success meant we quickly grew, and this allowed us to grow into larger facilities in Coventry and we started to take on significant work throughout the whole of the UK. Realising the need to stick to our core principals of general engineering, we also appreciated the importance of diversifying into other industries such as the oil and gas markets.
